Girls on the Run is coming to Maury! This is an exciting program that uses the power of running to help prepare girls in grades 3-5 for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. Lace up your running shoes girls as you train together to run a 5k held November 24, 2013 at 8:00 am at Jiffy Lube Live, Bristow, Virginia. Practices are led by GOTR NOVA trained coaches/volunteers on Monday and Thursday from 2:30-3:45 on the Maury playground. Although registration for this program is held outside the Maury after school system, bus transportation is available at 4:00pm from Maury to your home. Look for the flier coming home the first week of school! 20 GOTR participant spaces are available each season. If more interest is shown, the GOTR organization will host a lottery to fill the seasons spaces.
